Blade and Sorcery mods Not Working? A Review of The sorcery Game
Blade and Sorcery mods have been known to be a bit bugged. There is the strange bug where you can't equip two-handed weapons while in a dungeon. There are also cases where equipment that you have equipped but aren't visible anymore appear on your character's inventory screen. I'll list the most common ones that won't let you enjoy the mod fully.
This one seems pretty big, so it deserves its own post. The vampire costume doesn't look like it belongs to the anime villains at all. It looks like the costume was lifted from the visual novels. There is also the problem where you can't equip some of your weapons, even though they have the same stats as your weapons from the original blade and sorcery mods not working.
Another weird thing is the "berserk" spells. When you use them you attack with both your hands. The "berserk" spell also has a sound that isn't part of the original. If you happen to come across a fight where there is more than one enemy, you will notice that your spells won't work on everyone. There is also a chance that your spells won't work at all on certain creatures.
The "cloth spell" works perfectly on some characters, but doesn't work on others. A cloth spell reduces your defense. You will still be able to block damage, but you won't be able to Dodge attacks. The biggest issue is that it only works on characters with medium armor or better. A higher armor rating means much less protection for blade and sorcery mods not working .
The "darkness spell" works on the entire game. That's right, even apprentice level characters can take this! What it does is completely mess up your game. You will see all sorts of dark critters spawning around you, and you'll get the S&S "blitz" effect. This is just an annoying way to play magic.
Unfortunately, the only way to get around these "blitz" spells is to make sure you raise your defense. You can't lower it, and you can't raise it. Which is sort of defeats the purpose. The "dispel magic" spell will work on nearly every spell in the game. This modifies your dispel magic spells to cause more damage. These types of spells are the biggest reasons why these mods not working.
The "looters mod" increases your gold earning potential by 40%. Now don't go out and try to buy all the rare items in the game, because there simply aren't any. You can pick up all the best ones though, because they will always come with this mod. This mod works the same way as the "bag limit" mod does in the vanilla game. Every time you enter town, loot something and turn it in.
Another mod that will work wonders for this game, is the "cloth cap." This will make you really feel like a noble hero in the eyes of other players. If you're playing a Paladin class in this game, consider getting this mod. It's a cheap edition, but it's well worth it. There are so many options to choose from when playing this game, it's easy to get confused.
This is actually a part of the vanilla game originally. If you took a glance back in history, you'll see that some of the greatest leaders, like Conan El Cid, were actually naked. This has a lot to do with how the society of those times viewed nudity. While it may seem silly to modern eyes, at that time, it was a big deal. In this game too, it will serve as a great asset to your character.
One of the things that I've always liked about this game, is the casting system. Each character has their own specialties. When you train them, you can upgrade their abilities. Once again, this comes back to how the game works. The higher your skills are, the more you'll be able to affect the world around you.
You will find that the interface for this game is very simple. You can easily get around it and cast all sorts of spells. You also have the option to learn spells as you progress through the game. It doesn't get any simpler than this.
So you should definitely give it a shot if you like playing games like this. The official site is easy to navigate, and even has FAQ's to answer the burning questions you may have. The download is so small, you probably won't even notice it. I'm sure you'll love the new look of this wonderful game.
